Senior Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Finance Manager to lead all financial operations for a dynamic events company in Dubai. The role combines senior accounting responsibilities with strategic finance management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all finance operations, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, monitor, and report on annual budgets and forecasts.
• Analyse project and client profitability, identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure corporate tax compliance under UAE regulations.
• Produce monthly financial statements, conduct variance analysis, and provide insights for strategic decisions.
• Utilise Xero for accounting, financial reporting, and data maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; Master’s or professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA) preferred.
• 8‑10 years of finance experience, preferably in events or travel industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE corporate tax and VAT regulations.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively.
