Senior Accountant – Construction / Fit-Out

About the role

The Senior Accountant – Construction / Fit‑Out will oversee all financial operations for construction and interior fit‑out projects in Dubai. Reporting to finance management, the role ensures accurate bookkeeping, cost control and compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual project financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain the general ledger, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage subcontractor invoicing and aging schedules.
• Track project budgets, forecast cash flow, analyse cost‑to‑complete variances and support cost allocation for project teams.
• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns and ensure full tax compliance.
• Execute periodic reconciliations and coordinate internal and external audit activities.
• Maintain organised digital financial archives and supervise junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or Senior Accountant, with mandatory experience in UAE construction or interior fit‑out firms.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT, project accounting and cost tracking.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software.
