Senior Accountant

About the role

Ritzy Accessories Trading is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations across multiple retail and online channels in Abu Dhabi. The role involves daily transaction reconciliation, inventory control, and preparation of financial statements in compliance with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily accounting transactions for retail stores, e‑commerce platforms and POS systems.
• Reconcile cash, card, bank and online payment transactions and prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations, manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Monitor, reconcile and update inventory records, conduct stock counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain VAT documentation, ensure timely filing and compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Support internal audits and ensure adherence to IFRS and company policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE, preferably in retail or trading.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and tax filing.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations).
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero or Tally.
• Experience with POS and e‑commerce reporting tools (e.g., Shopify).
• UAE VAT compliance and IFRS accounting standards.
