Senior Accountant – Tax & VAT Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead VAT and corporate tax services for our diverse client base in Dubai. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting operations while providing strategic tax advice across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and prepare VAT filings and corporate tax returns for a wide range of clients, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
• Provide strategic tax planning and advice tailored to each client’s specific needs, including cross‑border considerations.
• Liaise with tax authorities, handle tax audits, and resolve disputes or inquiries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare comprehensive financial reports and statements.
• Offer guidance on the tax implications of business decisions and stay updated on new tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver integrated client solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA or an equivalent professional qualification.
• 4‑5 years of experience in accounting and tax, with a strong focus on VAT and corporate tax.
• Proven track record of managing financials for clients across different industries and regions.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving capabilities.
• Experience in international taxation and multilingual abilities are a plus.
