Senior Accounts Assistant

About the role

The Senior Accounts Assistant will ensure timely processing, accounting and payment of supplier invoices, incentives and refunds for Emirates in Dubai. You will provide assurance on transaction completeness and accuracy through robust internal controls and reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and promptly to support month‑end closing.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in line with policy.
• Monitor balance movements, perform reconciliations and accrue expenses.
• Validate accounting entries against correct nominal codes.
• Analyse accounts, identify anomalies and ensure the books reflect the correct position.
• Resolve disputes and queries with internal and external stakeholders.
• Track and recover outstanding balances within agreed timeframes.
• Participate in projects, system enhancements and process improvements.
• Support strategic finance initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of schooling or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in core Accounts Payable functions, preferably within an airline or similar environment.
• Finance‑related qualification.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with MS Access.
• PowerPoint competency.
