Senior Architect – BIM Coordination

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Architect to lead architectural design and BIM coordination for our construction projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing the full design lifecycle, ensuring high‑quality deliverables, and mentoring the architectural team while complying with local codes and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate architectural BIM models throughout the construction phase.
• Produce, review, and approve shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Integrate architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, managing interdisciplinary coordination.
• Prepare and submit shop drawings for client and consultant approvals, updating them based on feedback.
• Conduct clash detection and model validation using Navisworks or similar tools.
• Create and maintain BIM templates, families, and libraries.
• Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to resolve design clashes and enhance constructability.
• Train and mentor junior staff on BIM processes and best practices.
• Participate in design reviews, providing technical insights to improve project performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years focused on BIM implementation.
• Proven experience delivering architectural projects in GCC countries.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Project management experience overseeing design from concept to completion.
