Senior Architect Construction Supervision

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Senior Architect to lead construction supervision on complex building projects in Abu Dhabi. You will act as the bridge between design teams, contractors and stakeholders, ensuring that every construction activity meets architectural specifications, codes and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on‑site construction activities, verifying compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to confirm adherence to design standards and contractual requirements.
• Lead and mentor construction supervision teams, providing clear technical direction.
• Review construction methodologies, schedules and resource allocation to optimise delivery and minimise delays.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, daily logs and progress documentation for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to resolve design conflicts and construction challenges.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Manage contract administration tasks, including change orders and claims.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction supervision and architectural quality assurance on large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and international construction standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and make decisive decisions under pressure.
