Senior Architect (Technical)

About the role

WSP Middle East is seeking a dynamic Senior Architect (Technical) to join its Technical Architecture Team within the Property & Buildings Business Unit in the UAE. The role involves leading technical design and delivery for high‑profile, multi‑disciplinary projects across the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical development and delivery of architectural projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare, review, and coordinate detailed design packages, technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international codes, and project‑specific requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including Structural, MEP, Landscape, Interior Design, and specialist consultants.
• Support BIM implementation and technical design coordination across projects.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, RFIs, and construction‑stage technical queries.
• Drive technical excellence, quality assurance, and design consistency.
• Mentor and support junior architects and technical team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• 8+ years of professional architectural experience with a strong emphasis on technical design and project delivery.
• Experience in a leading architecture, engineering, or multidisciplinary consultancy.
• Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous Middle East project experience is highly desirable.
