Senior Communications Manager – Middle East

About the role

Shield AI is seeking a senior communications professional to lead media relations and storytelling across the Middle East. You will shape the narrative for cutting‑edge defense and AI technologies, working closely with global communications, government relations, and regional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute earned‑media strategies for product launches, contracts, and major defense exhibitions in the GCC.
• Build and maintain relationships with defense, technology and business journalists covering the region.
• Serve as the regional point of contact for media inquiries, handling sensitive and reactive communications.
• Prepare executives for interviews and speaking engagements, and manage on‑site media logistics.
• Write and edit press releases, bylines, speeches, briefing materials and adapt global narratives for local cultural nuance.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive intelligence and manage narrative risks related to geopolitical sensitivities.

Required profile

• 8+ years of communications experience in defense, aerospace, government or technology sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, political science, international relations or related field.
• Native Arabic speaker with fluent English and strong written and verbal storytelling skills.
• Proven track record securing earned media coverage in UAE, KSA and Qatar.
• Deep understanding of GCC defence and government landscape, including key stakeholders and cultural sensitivities.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
