Senior Contract Manager – Large‑Scale Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Contract Manager to lead the contractual and commercial management of large‑scale civil, building and high‑rise construction projects. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from tender review and contract negotiation to execution, completion and final account settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead contractual and commercial management of multiple construction projects.
• Review tender documents, contracts, specifications, drawings and commercial terms before award.
• Identify contractual, commercial, legal and financial risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Participate in negotiations with clients, consultants, JV partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare, review and administer main contracts, sub‑contracts, consultancy agreements and purchase orders.
• Ensure project teams comply with contractual obligations, notice requirements and timelines.
• Prepare and submit variation, extension‑of‑time, disruption and loss‑and‑expense claims.
• Develop claim strategies supported by records, programmes, cost data and contractual provisions.
• Assess and respond to subcontractor and supplier claims.
• Coordinate with legal counsel, delay and quantum experts, and claims consultants.
• Monitor contractual milestones, payment terms, bonds, guarantees, warranties and liquidated damages.
• Manage disputes and support negotiation, mediation, adjudication, arbitration or litigation as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in contract administration, claims management and commercial risk within established main contractors.
• Extensive knowledge of FIDIC and other standard construction contracts.
• Proven ability to protect the company’s contractual position throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong analytical skills and experience preparing and defending claims.
