Senior Draftsman

About the role

NMDC Energy PJSC is seeking a Senior Draftsman to produce and review detailed engineering drawings for offshore projects. The role involves close collaboration with engineers and other disciplines to ensure accurate, compliant documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed engineering, general arrangement, and fabrication drawings from approved information.
• Review and verify drawings prepared by junior draftsmen for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct pre‑engineering site surveys to confirm existing conditions.
• Generate material take‑offs and component data for project work packages.
• Create 3D models and visualizations to support client and project requirements.
• Interpret engineering specifications and resolve drawing discrepancies.
• Incorporate approved engineering changes and maintain revision control.
• Coordinate drafting requirements across disciplines for consistent deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance to drafting team and resolve complex issues.
• Ensure all deliverables meet standards, document control, schedule, and HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or Certificate in Engineering Drafting, CAD, Design, or equivalent.
• Relevant CAD/3D modelling certification.
• Minimum 8 years of drafting experience, preferably in offshore environments.
• Proven experience preparing and checking engineering drawings.

• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation).
• 3D modelling and visualization tools.
• Engineering drawing preparation and revision control.
