Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Dubai

About the role

We are partnering with an international consultancy to strengthen its Dubai team. The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will lead the electrical design of high‑rise, cultural, residential and mixed‑use projects across the GCC, guiding them from early concept through detailed design, IFC documentation and authority approvals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on complex high‑rise, cultural, residential and mixed‑use developments throughout the GCC.
• Take projects from pre‑concept through design development, IFC documentation and authority approvals.
• Work directly with clients and manage the commercial and financial aspects of each project.
• Lead and motivate a small Dubai‑based and offshore design team.
• Ensure all designs comply with local authority requirements, including DEWA, SEWA and Civil Defence.
• Provide strong technical leadership and deliver high‑quality electrical design packages.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in electrical design, with extensive UAE/GCC consultancy background.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering; Chartered status preferred or actively pursued.
• Proven ability to lead design teams and manage commercial/financial project aspects.
• Excellent communication skills and strong technical capability.
