Senior Electrical Engineer - Design

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design activities for complex power and low‑voltage systems in Abu Dhabi. You will work on a variety of infrastructure projects, delivering concept, preliminary and detailed designs while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare concept, preliminary and detailed electrical designs, design reports and tender documents.
• Perform calculations and layout for low, medium and high voltage distribution networks, substations, pump stations and industrial electrification.
• Develop single‑line, protection and schematic diagrams, and ELV system designs.
• Conduct value‑engineering studies, review shop and supplier drawings, and issue specifications and data sheets.
• Provide technical guidance to BIM modelers, CAD designers and junior engineers.
• Analyze tenders, prepare evaluation reports and support construction documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience (senior level) in power system design and analysis.
• Proven ability to work independently and coordinate with clients, stakeholders and other engineering disciplines.
