Senior Electrical Engineer – Greenfield Projects

About the role

The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the design, engineering, execution and commissioning of electrical systems for ADNOC offshore greenfield developments, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute electrical engineering activities for Greenfield offshore oil and gas projects.
• Develop and review design deliverables such as single line diagrams, load lists, equipment datasheets and power system studies.
• Perform load flow, short‑circuit, motor starting, relay coordination, arc‑flash, harmonic and transient stability analyses.
• Manage engineering and selection of generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS, VFDs, motors and lighting systems.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, support procurement, construction and commissioning phases, and resolve technical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s advantageous).
• Minimum 15 years of electrical engineering experience in oil & gas, with at least 8 years on Greenfield offshore EPC/EPCM projects.
• Proven experience across FEED, detailed design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Electrical systems design, HV/LV power distribution, offshore power generation and emergency power.
• Power system studies using ETAP, SKM PowerTools, DIgSILENT PowerFactory and SmartPlant Electrical.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.
• Knowledge of ADNOC, IEC, IEEE, NFPA and API standards.
