Senior Electrical Engineer (Offshore)

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its offshore team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves designing, reviewing, coordinating and executing electrical engineering activities for ADNOC offshore oil and gas facilities across concept, FEED, detailed engineering, EPC, brownfield modifications and commissioning phases. The engineer will travel offshore on a rotational basis to conduct site surveys, support assessments and gather data for design and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret client specifications and local/international standards.
• Develop electrical design philosophies, technical specifications, design basis and engineering calculations.
• Prepare datasheets, load lists, load calculations, cable sizing, earthing and lighting calculations.
• Provide technical input to designers and review their electrical layouts.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, international codes, project specifications and HSE requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers throughout project phases.

Required profile

• Valid OPITO‑approved T‑BOSIET/BOSIET and H₂S certifications (minimum six months validity).
• Minimum 96 months (8 years) of relevant offshore electrical engineering experience.
• Ability to travel offshore on a rotational schedule.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC standards and international electrical codes.
