Senior Engineer Onshore Construction Instrumentation

About the role

The Senior Engineer – Onshore Construction (Instrumentation) will lead the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation (E&I) systems for major oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures all works comply with project specifications, standards and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of E&I system installation, from hook‑up to final commissioning.
• Manage brownfield modification works and ensure seamless integration with existing facilities.
• Coordinate EPC and PMC activities, monitoring progress, quality and compliance.
• Lead interface with offshore island specifications, subsea cable and piping installations.
• Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams and resolve engineering issues on site.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electrical or Instrumentation.
• Minimum 15 years of industry experience, including at least 5 years in offshore/onshore construction.
• Proven track record in EPC or PMC roles on mega projects.
• Experience with offshore island specifications, brownfield modifications and subsea cable/piping.
• Previous involvement in ADNOC projects is an advantage.
