Senior Engineer - Onshore Construction (Structure)

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead onshore structural construction activities for major oil & gas projects in the UAE. The role involves supervising steel, concrete, and foundation works while ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage onshore structural construction, including steel structures, foundations, concrete works, and buildings.
• Ensure all works follow approved drawings, specifications, and industry codes.
• Coordinate with contractors, site teams, and engineering disciplines.
• Monitor progress, report status against schedule and milestones.
• Review constructability, method statements, and work procedures.
• Enforce HSE requirements and promote safe construction practices.
• Support inspections, testing, quality control, commissioning, and handover of structural works.

Required profile

• 15+ years total engineering experience, with 3–5 years in onshore structural construction for oil & gas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience in PMC/EPC environments; ADNOC onshore experience is a plus.
