Senior Executive - Statutory Reporting

About the role

The Senior Executive – Statutory Reporting will support the finance function of a fast‑growing retail group operating across the GCC. The role focuses on budgeting, financial reporting, KPI management and variance analysis to ensure effective cost control and informed decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop OPEX budget plans and schedules in line with Group policies and coordinate budget preparation with relevant departments.
• Act as liaison between entity/department heads and the finance team to gather information for annual budgets.
• Monitor budget implementation, perform recalibrations or forecasts as required by management.
• Prepare periodic and ad‑hoc Management Information Reports to provide timely data for decision‑making.
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting systems and investigate variances, producing financial reviews.
• Analyse monthly operational performance, variances and metrics to forecast budget exceptions.
• Contribute to the development of budgeting, IS and project reporting policies, processes, procedures, forms and templates.
• Provide inputs to enhance budgeting, planning, controlling and reporting tools to improve accuracy.
• Maintain full control over budgeting models, ensuring accurate preparation, maintenance and monitoring within the software.
• Identify and raise any technical issues related to budgeting processes.

Required profile

• Senior‑level finance professional with experience in budgeting and statutory reporting.
• Strong analytical ability to investigate variances and prepare financial reviews.
• Proven capability to work cross‑functionally with department heads and finance teams.
