Senior Finance Business Partner – Oil & Gas

About the role

This senior finance leadership position combines finance business partnership, financial control, performance management, ERP implementation and digital transformation for a diversified oil & gas organization operating across the UAE and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to senior operational and commercial leaders, providing insight and constructive challenge on commercial decisions, bids, projects and strategic initiatives.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning and financial modelling, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Own accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting, variance analysis and management commentary.
• Strengthen financial control, governance and audit processes, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Drive working‑capital optimisation, cash generation, cost discipline and cost‑performance monitoring.
• Evaluate CAPEX, investments and new‑venture opportunities through financial modelling and commercial analysis.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives, acting as the finance owner for ERP implementation, automation, analytics and digital processes.
• Develop and mentor the finance team, establishing clear KPIs and fostering a strong business‑partnering culture.

Required profile

• 10+ years of finance experience, including 7+ years post‑qualification, with at least 5 years in oil & gas or related industrial services.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA.
• Proven experience managing finance across multiple entities and leading ERP or finance‑transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, working‑capital management, cash‑flow and financial governance.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior operational and commercial leadership.
