Senior Finance Officer – FP&A

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Officer specialized in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for LAHAB in the UAE. The role works closely with finance, operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to deliver accurate financial insights and support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual financial planning and budgeting cycle, managing timelines, templates, submissions, and consolidation across functions.
• Prepare and maintain budgets and forecasts, review estimates for accuracy, and monitor performance against approved plans.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management reports, analysing actual vs. budget, cost‑centre performance, financial trends and key variances.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to management.
• Maintain product costing, including standard and actual costs, bill of materials, overhead allocation, margins and cost of goods sold.
• Support pricing decisions by reviewing product costs and conducting margin analysis.
• Develop business cases, feasibility studies and financial models for new products, acquisitions and strategic initiatives.
• Monitor cost variances, identify root causes and recommend cost‑management actions.
• Review accounts, accruals and trial‑balance reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
• Support inventory closing, reconciliation and ensure proper GL representation.
• Validate purchase orders and CAPEX requests against budgets and commercial values.
• Upload and monitor project costs in the ERP system and assist with cost disbursement approvals.
• Prepare monthly reports for the EDGE Cluster and senior management.
• Assist internal and external audits, especially for costing, inventory and financial reporting.
• Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards and analytical models for timely decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Management or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CIMA, CA or ACCA highly desirable.
• 5–10 years of experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, management accounting or financial analysis.
• Experience in manufacturing, defence, high‑technology or publicly traded organisations is an advantage.
