Senior HSE Engineer - EPC/Detailed Engineering (Offshore Projects)

About the role

McDermott International is seeking a Senior HSE Engineer to lead health, safety and environmental engineering activities for offshore EPC and detailed engineering projects. The role combines technical expertise with mentorship, ensuring best practices are applied across project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, FEED, studies and detailed design analyses in line with project specifications and codes.
• Act as Lead Engineer on small projects, guiding the engineering team.
• Prepare accurate design calculations, reports and procedures.
• Manage time and budgets, delivering short‑term work plans.
• Identify scope changes, raise change notifications and support variation orders.
• Coordinate with planning, fabrication, marine, and project management teams.
• Assist in bid estimate preparation, including technical queries and man‑hour estimates.
• Develop design basis, philosophies and technical specifications for the discipline.

Required profile

• Minimum 120 months (10 years) of experience in HSE engineering for offshore EPC projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex technical issues.
