Senior Interior Design Manager

About the role

Mace is seeking a Senior Interior Design Manager to lead the interior design strategy for a large‑scale retail and mixed‑use development in Dubai. The role oversees the concept to delivery phases, ensuring the design vision aligns with commercial, sustainability and regulatory objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the interior design strategy and vision from concept through delivery for a landmark residential‑community project.
• Manage internationally recognised interior design consultants and specialist design teams across all project stages.
• Drive innovative retail, lifestyle, entertainment and experiential design concepts that enhance customer engagement.
• Oversee design development, reviews, presentations, approvals and technical coordination for all interior environments.
• Review and approve material palettes, finishes, FF&E, lighting concepts, wayfinding, artwork and experiential design elements.
• Collaborate with leasing, operations, asset management, marketing and development teams to integrate commercial objectives.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, accessibility standards, sustainability targets and operational needs.
• Lead value‑engineering workshops while protecting design intent and customer experience.
• Monitor consultant performance, programme delivery, design quality and budget compliance.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading interior design for large retail or mixed‑use developments.
• Strong strategic leadership with ability to align design teams to client and governance expectations.
• Excellent stakeholder management across multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, sustainability and digital experiences in interior environments.
