Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Our client, a fast‑moving retail and e‑commerce business, is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to strengthen risk management across the group. You will work closely with audit leadership, own end‑to‑end process reviews and help shape the annual controls plan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development of the Annual Controls Review plan by identifying and evaluating key audit risk areas.
• Own end‑to‑end process reviews within budget and in line with IIA standards, from scoping to draft report and executive summary.
• Review the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, including fraud risk areas, and assess compliance with group policies and leading practices.
• Identify audit issues, root causes and recommend improvements; ensure corrective action plans are implemented on time.
• Conduct special/field audits and investigations on request of operating companies or audit management.
• Contribute to risk assessments, help risk owners build mitigation plans and maintain the group‑wide risk‑control library.
• Enhance audit methodology through automation and data‑analytics opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with process owners and support peers to deliver high‑quality work.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA / ACCA / CPA) or MBA (Finance); CIA / CFE an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience in the Retail / E‑Commerce sector.
• Strong knowledge of retail and e‑commerce business operations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and professional scepticism.
• Strong organisation and follow‑up skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
