Senior IT Compliance Specialist

About the role

The Senior IT Compliance Specialist ensures that Capital.com’s technology environment meets the strict regulatory expectations of the UAE financial sector. Working at the crossroads of technology, risk and regulation, you will translate complex obligations into practical controls that keep the fintech platform secure and audit‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and coordination of IT audits, supervisory reviews and regulator information requests.
• Conduct gap assessments against local regulations, internal policies and industry best practices.
• Identify compliance weaknesses, define remediation plans and track corrective actions with IT, Security, Risk and Compliance teams.
• Develop, implement and maintain IT, cybersecurity and information security policies aligned with regulatory expectations.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert on IT compliance, translating supervisory expectations into actionable controls.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation, including policies, procedures, risk assessments and evidence repositories.
• Support ongoing interactions with regulators and external auditors on technology, cybersecurity and operational resilience topics.

Required profile

• 4‑6+ years of experience in IT compliance, IT audit or technology risk management within a regulated environment.
• Deep knowledge of UAE financial‑institution regulatory requirements (IT governance, cybersecurity, data protection, access and change management, BCP/DR).
• Proven experience conducting IT and cybersecurity gap assessments and delivering remediation plans.
• Ability to work independently on complex compliance topics and manage multiple priorities.
