Senior Lifting Operations – Offshore

About the role

The Senior Lifting Operations professional will lead safe crane and heavy‑lifting activities on offshore projects. This senior site role ensures that all lifting operations comply with project schedules, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crane and lifting operations on offshore sites.
• Develop, review, and approve lift plans, rigging procedures, and lifting calculations.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure timely execution of lifting tasks.
• Generate project‑specific lifting and rigging procedures when required.
• Inspect and maintain lifting gear, including overhead cranes, gantries, davit arms, and winches.
• Provide technical guidance on lifting drawings and calculations to subcontractors.

Required profile

• Engineering degree from a recognized university.
• Minimum 17 years of relevant experience, with at least 5–10 years in oil and gas.
• At least 5 years of offshore experience.
• Certification in Lifting Supervision (e.g., LEEA).
• Strong knowledge of offshore process and utility systems.

Required skills

• Crane management and safe working load (SWL) knowledge.
• Rigging and heavy‑lifting expertise.
• Interpretation of lifting drawings and calculations.
• Knowledge of ASME, OSHA and LOLER regulations.
• Lifting gear inspection and maintenance.
• LEEA certification for lifting supervision.
