Senior Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Convergint is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead the operation, maintenance, testing and hand‑over of security systems for our clients in Dubai. You will ensure that networking, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection and power infrastructure are ready and fully functional to support smooth site operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor fault logs, perform root‑cause analysis and resolve issues promptly.
• Coordinate with clients, IT teams and other stakeholders to ensure system reliability.
• Maintain firmware, security patches and system configurations for optimal performance.
• Document faults, preventive maintenance activities and call‑outs accurately.
• Implement network security measures and enforce user protocols.
• Advise clients on upgrades, provide refresher training and recommend enhancements.
• Supervise technicians during implementation, repairs and routine operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, or IT with a physics background.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in security system projects, including turn‑around assignments.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Cisco CCNA and CCNP certifications.
• BCNE certification.
• CCTV platforms such as Milestone, Genetec and Axis.
• Access Control Systems (LENEL, KERISYS, PAXTON).
• Biometrics, ANPR and video analytics expertise.
• Knowledge of barriers, bollards, road blockers, spike bumps and related security hardware.
