Senior Making Machine Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Making Machine Technician to lead the operation, maintenance and optimisation of cigarette making and packing equipment at our Dubai (JAFZA) facility. The role combines hands‑on technical work with leadership of a small team of technicians and operators to ensure high machine availability and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot cigarette making and packing machines (GD121A, DECOUFLE series, HAUNI PROTOS).
• Perform advanced mechanical, electrical and pneumatic maintenance, including alignment, calibration and component replacement.
• Lead machine set‑ups, change‑overs, format changes and performance optimisation.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance according to schedule.
• Diagnose faults using technical drawings, electrical diagrams and measuring instruments.
• Maintain spare‑parts inventory and coordinate with the Technical Manager.
• Record breakdowns, maintenance actions and machine performance data.
• Provide technical guidance and day‑to‑day support to junior technicians and operators.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maintaining high‑speed manufacturing equipment, preferably in the tobacco or cigarette industry.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Leadership capability to mentor and support a technical team.
