Senior Manager Design

About the role

We are seeking a senior design leader to steer the design direction and coordination of our exclusive residential and hospitality projects, ensuring every detail aligns with Amali’s luxury brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall design vision for ultra‑luxury residential, hospitality and mixed‑use developments.
• Critically assess layouts, façade options, space programs and adjacency diagrams to guarantee design quality.
• Lead consultant coordination, conduct detailed reviews of technical submissions and ensure compliance with project requirements, codes and quality standards.
• Manage budgets, cost planning, benchmarking and cost‑optimization throughout the development lifecycle.
• Prepare RFP documentation, oversee consultant and contractor procurement, evaluate tenders and recommend awards.
• Develop and monitor project programmes, identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Drive value‑engineering initiatives while preserving design intent, functionality and quality.
• Provide construction‑stage support including mock‑up reviews, material approvals and response to contractor queries.
• Incorporate operational and maintenance considerations to ensure long‑term sustainability and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Design Management.
• 12+ years of experience in architectural design and project delivery, with a strong portfolio of ultra‑luxury residential, mansions or royal palace projects.
• Proven ability to lead international design teams and manage complex procurement and programme schedules.
• Commercial awareness and experience in cost control, budgeting and value engineering.
