Senior Manager - Legal Counsel

About the role

GMG is seeking a Senior Manager – Legal Counsel to lead HR and labour‑related legal matters across GCC jurisdictions. The role acts as a strategic advisor to HR and business teams, handling disputes, investigations and court proceedings while ensuring compliance with local employment laws.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all labour and employment litigation and dispute resolution across the GCC.
• Represent the company in labour court proceedings and coordinate with external counsel.
• Provide legal advice and risk assessments on HR policies, terminations, disciplinary actions, grievances and employment contracts.
• Draft pleadings, statements and other legal documents for ongoing cases.
• Develop and enforce legal strategies to protect the Group’s interests in multiple jurisdictions.
• Maintain legal precedents, case databases and litigation trackers.
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate implications to stakeholders.
• Manage appellate and cassation level litigation and lead mediation or arbitration processes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in GCC labour law, especially UAE, KSA, Qatar.
• Proven track record in handling complex employment disputes and court proceedings.
• Strong advisory skills for HR and business leaders.
• Ability to draft and review commercial contracts and employment documents.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
