Senior Mechanical Maintenance Technician (Process)

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Maintenance Technician will lead preventive, breakdown and shutdown maintenance activities on rotating and static plant equipment. The role supports production, quality and safety across oil & gas treatment, gas export, storage and loading facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain work permits, prepare tools, materials and transport for maintenance tasks.
• Allocate work to technicians, diagnose complex faults and inspect completed work.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance, replace worn parts and execute major overhauls.
• Prepare daily maintenance reports covering faults, work performed, materials, labour and time.
• Develop Job Safety Analyses, conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with company and ADNOC HSE policies.
• Train UAE national personnel, maintain tools and safety equipment, and manage time‑critical maintenance schedules.
• Collect technical data, contribute to progress reports, method statements and near‑miss documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external electrical, control and workshop teams.

Required profile

• B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent diploma.
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a large industrial setting, preferably oil & gas.
• Professional certification relevant to mechanical maintenance (as required by the employer).
• Experience with high‑speed turbo compressors, pumps, pressure vessels, separators, heat exchangers and valves.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP and Maximo.
