About the role

The Senior Officer will lead Dubai Customs' K9 unit, ensuring the dogs and handlers are deployed efficiently to support inspection processes and protect the emirate from physical and economic threats.

Key responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the K9 unit, including scheduling, training, and deployment.
Coordinate with inspection teams to integrate K9 capabilities into compliance checks.
Monitor performance metrics and optimise resource utilisation.
Ensure the health, safety and welfare of dogs and handlers.
Prepare reports on K9 activities and outcomes for senior management.

Required profile

Secondary education or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business area.
4–5 years of experience in a related business or security role.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced customs environment.
