Senior Operator – DHT Plant

About the role

The Senior Operator DHT is responsible for operating, monitoring and controlling assigned plant units to process, store and export products according to specifications while adhering to company and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate control panels and the Integrated Control System to ensure safe, efficient plant performance.
• Log operating incidents, supervise routine equipment checks and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Authorize work permits, monitor contractor activities and enforce safety procedures.
• Adjust speeds, temperatures, pressures and flow rates during start‑ups, shutdowns and emergencies.
• Manage chemical dosing, prepare solutions and ensure correct handling according to HSE rules.
• Act as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer when required and support emergency response.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating plant units in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to supervise equipment inspections and coordinate maintenance.
• Capability to authorize work permits and monitor contractor compliance.
• Excellent communication for shift hand‑overs and inter‑department coordination.
