Senior Pipeline Commissioning Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking a Senior Pipeline Commissioning Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team on a major EPC project. The role focuses on guiding the EPC contractor through completion, pre‑commissioning and commissioning phases, ensuring a successful start‑up and hand‑over to operations while meeting ADNOC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to the EPC contractor to achieve completion milestones.
• Implement and monitor the approved Completion Management System, procedures and workflows.
• Support the On‑shore Completion Lead in certifying and handing over all systems.
• Review technical documentation, P&IDs and certification records for compliance with international standards.
• Coordinate large‑scale database population, data verification and reporting.
• Ensure all activities are executed within the project schedule and cost constraints.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in commissioning/operation readiness, preferably in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in senior commissioning roles on Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, including sour‑gas, utilities, power‑steam, generation or air‑separation plants.
• Proven experience with Completion Management Systems and large database handling.
