Senior Quantity Surveying Engineer

About the role

The Senior Quantity Surveying Engineer will lead commercial management activities on construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation, timely payments, and strict compliance with contractual terms. The role also supports and mentors junior quantity surveying staff within a project‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs from drawings and specifications.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier invoices and prepare interim payment documentation.
• Assess variations, prepare variation claims, and ensure contractual compliance.
• Guide and mentor junior quantity surveying engineers.
• Collaborate with planning, procurement, and site teams to optimise cost efficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive records for contractual and audit purposes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of solid experience in construction quantity surveying.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, especially FIDIC and local standards.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in English.
