Senior Red Team Consultant – Cloud Security

About the role

Mandiant Consulting, part of Google Cloud, is looking for a Senior Red Team Consultant to lead offensive security assessments for enterprise customers. You will work on complex engagements that simulate real‑world attacks across cloud, application, and network environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and execute red‑team engagements, including perimeter breach, social‑engineering, phishing, and lateral movement.
• Develop and operate command‑and‑control infrastructure while evading endpoint detection and response solutions.
• Perform source‑code reviews, reverse engineering, and 0‑day vulnerability research for web and mobile applications.
• Produce detailed technical reports and executive‑level presentations for clients.
• Collaborate with client security teams to improve detection and response capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in at least three of the following: application security, red‑team assessments, EDR evasion, exploit development, cloud security, social engineering, scripting or tool development.
• Proven ability to communicate findings to both technical and executive audiences.
• Experience with operating‑system security on Linux and other platforms.

Required skills

• Offensive security techniques (red‑team, penetration testing, exploit development).
• Cloud security, especially Google Cloud.
• Scripting and tool development (Python, C#, C/C++, Rust, Nim).
• Source‑code review, reverse engineering, 0‑day vulnerability discovery.
• Payload development, privilege escalation, lateral movement, EDR evasion.
• Network protocols, threat‑intelligence analysis, system and network administration.
• Relevant certifications (OSCE, OSEP, OSEE, OSCP, CCSAS, CCT INF, SANS courses).
