Senior Sales Engineering Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineering Specialist to join Checkout.com’s Dubai team. You will own the technical side of client engagements across the MENA region, guiding merchants from pre‑sales qualification through solution design, integration and go‑live.

Key responsibilities

• Qualify merchants’ technical requirements and assess their infrastructure.
• Partner with Sales to deliver product, business and technical expertise during pre‑sales activities.
• Design, prepare and lead technical and commercial workshops for prospective merchants.
• Provide solution design inputs for complex proposals, RFPs and RFIs.
• Translate business and technical requirements into efficient, bespoke payment solutions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry standards and payments regulations.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect or Pre‑Sales Consultant.
• Strong client‑facing technical background with experience in API‑based integrations.
• Proficiency in at least one front‑end framework (JavaScript, React, Angular) and one back‑end language (Java.NET, Python, Node.js).
• Commercial mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment and translate technical jargon into business language.
