Senior Site Engineer – Instrumentation & Control (Power Generation)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Site Engineer specialized in Instrumentation & Control (I&C) to lead design review, installation, testing and commissioning activities for a confidential power generation IPP project in Dubai. The role involves close collaboration with the Owner’s Engineer team to ensure successful project delivery from construction through warranty period.

Key responsibilities

• Review I&C design documents, control philosophy, instrument index, datasheets, loop and wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, cause‑and‑effect matrix and system architecture.
• Supervise installation of field instruments, control panels, PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, analyzers, junction boxes, cabling and related automation infrastructure.
• Review method statements, ITPs, test procedures, calibration records, loop folders and commissioning procedures.
• Witness calibration, loop checks, functional testing, interlock testing, SAT and control system integration testing.
• Participate in HAZOP and safety reviews as required.
• Coordinate I&C interfaces with electrical, mechanical, process and commissioning teams.
• Review O&M manuals, as‑built drawings, software documentation and I&C close‑out records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, Electronics, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of I&C engineering and site supervision experience.
• Experience in power generation, utilities, industrial plants, waste‑to‑energy, biogas, landfill gas or EPC projects.
• Owner’s Engineer or consultant‑side supervision experience is preferred.
