Senior Site Engineer – Structures

About the role

AESG is seeking a Senior Site Engineer – Structures to lead structural construction activities on high‑rise and mixed‑use projects across the UAE. Reporting to the Resident Engineer, you will act as the technical authority for all structural works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications and local codes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all structural construction activities from mobilisation to handover.
• Verify that works are executed in line with project specifications, contract requirements and UAE building codes.
• Monitor contractor performance, conduct inspections and issue technical guidance.
• Mentor junior engineers and site inspectors, providing technical coaching and support.
• Collaborate with the design team to resolve on‑site issues and ensure quality, safety and programme targets are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of post‑graduate experience in structural site supervision.
• At least 5 years of UAE/GCC experience on major building projects.
• Experience within an engineering or multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
• Professional registration or Chartered Engineer status is desirable.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete construction.
• Expertise in structural steel detailing and erection.
• Proficiency in designing and managing temporary works.
• In‑depth understanding of UAE Building Codes and structural design standards.
• Ability to interpret and apply construction specifications and contract documents.
