Senior Specialist – Engineering & Technical Planning

About the role

EDGE Group is seeking an experienced aviation engineering professional to join its Abu Dhabi hub as a Senior Specialist in Engineering and Technical Planning. The role focuses on maintaining operational reliability, supporting maintenance planning, and ensuring technical excellence within a dynamic aviation environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise both scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities.
• Monitor ACMI maintenance schedules, inspections and technical compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate technical records, maintenance documentation and engineering data.
• Provide leadership and technical support during inspections, repairs and maintenance projects.
• Ensure maintenance quality, regulatory compliance and safety standards are met.
• Support development of maintenance facilities, workshops and technical infrastructure.
• Maintain integration services and technical specifications to guarantee operational reliability.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective solutions for system failures.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency and performance.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience in aircraft maintenance and technical operations.
• Experience with technical integrations and system support.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities in complex operational environments.
