Senior Static Design Engineer

About the role

The Senior Static Design Engineer will lead the design, analysis and development of static equipment for a major brownfield oil & gas project in the UAE, ensuring compliance with project requirements, technical specifications and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks and reactors using ASME, API and other relevant codes.
• Prepare technical specifications, datasheets and detailed design calculations.
• Review vendor drawings and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and provide technical support during fabrication, installation and commissioning.
• Conduct design reviews, address client and stakeholder feedback and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong technical competence in detailed engineering and advanced analytical skills, with experience on EPC projects.
• Exposure to international work environments and proficiency with commercial engineering software used in oil & gas projects.
• In‑depth knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API) and familiarity with environmental regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and spoken English, problem‑solving ability and commitment to safety and quality.
