Senior System Administrator – Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator / Infrastructure Engineer to support a major government client in the UAE. The role involves managing the entire infrastructure environment to ensure secure, high‑availability operations that meet strict SLA commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor servers, storage, networks, backup, security and cloud services.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support to end‑users and internal teams.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, applications and management tools.
• Ensure high availability, performance, redundancy and security of all infrastructure services.
• Monitor system and application performance, identify bottlenecks and coordinate resolutions.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation, SOPs and operational procedures.
• Liaise with vendors and internal IT teams for troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Support service improvement initiatives, change requests, audits and SLA achievement.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 + years of relevant experience, currently based in the UAE.
• Mandatory certifications: MCSE and ITIL.
• Experience supporting government or large enterprise environments.
• Strong documentation, audit and customer‑facing support background.

• Dell SAN Storage, Dell/HPE enclosures, blades, rack‑mounted hardware.
• HPE Primera / Alletra MP SAN Storage.
• Windows Server, Active Directory, ADCS, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, IIS, SCCM, Hyper‑V, PowerShell.
• SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, Exchange, file system administration.
• Backup solutions: Avamar, Commvault (on‑prem and cloud).
• Microsoft Azure, Office 365 (OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online).
• SolarWinds monitoring.
• VMware vCenter, ESXi, Lifecycle Manager, SRM, Aria Operations, Zerto, PowerCLI.
• Cloud/CDN security: Cloudflare, Akamai.
