Service Technician – IT, AV & Security Solutions

About the role

The Service Technician will deliver on‑site installation, configuration, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT, audio‑visual and security systems for our client’s diverse customer base across the UAE. The role requires strong technical competence, adherence to OEM standards and a focus on customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktop computers, laptops, servers, printers, scanners and related peripherals.
• Set up user accounts, permissions, shared folders and network resources.
• Deploy wired and wireless networking equipment (routers, switches, access points) and structured cabling.
• Perform hardware diagnostics, component replacement, OS updates, firmware upgrades and software patches.
• Install and commission Interactive Flat Panels, video‑conferencing equipment and conduct user demonstrations.
• Configure and troubleshoot cameras, microphones, speakers, touch panels and presentation systems.
• Install, configure and test IP CCTV systems, NVR/DVR units, storage devices and remote‑viewing applications.
• Support cybersecurity solutions including endpoint protection, firewalls, antivirus, email and network security devices.

Required profile

• Technical background with hands‑on experience in IT infrastructure, AV equipment and security systems.
• Ability to work independently on customer sites and as part of a project team.
• Strong communication skills for professional customer interaction.

Required skills

• Desktop and server hardware installation and support.
• Networking equipment configuration (routers, switches, access points, structured cabling).
• Interactive Flat Panels and video‑conferencing system setup.
• IP CCTV, NVR/DVR, camera positioning and access‑control system installation.
• Endpoint protection, firewall deployment, antivirus and email security configuration.
• OS, firmware and software patch management.
