Shift Manager - Line Maintenance

About the role

The Shift Manager – Line Maintenance supports the Line Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance activities for Air Arabia and third‑party aircraft. The role ensures that all work is performed, certified and recorded in compliance with GCAA regulations and airline procedures, while maintaining aircraft availability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders such as MCC, Development and Planning Engineers, and Quality Assurance.
• Lead a team of engineers and technicians to execute aircraft maintenance, troubleshoot defects and reduce recurring issues.
• Supervise third‑party Service Level Agreements, ensuring all personnel are trained and licensed.
• Enforce safety measures, working procedures and regulatory rules during all maintenance tasks.
• Review daily aircraft operational status reports and ensure timely, cost‑effective execution of tasks.
• Coordinate with MCC on pending problems that could affect service standards.
• Provide guidance, monitoring and performance assessment to Line Maintenance staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience in line‑maintenance environments, preferably in an airline setting.
• Strong knowledge of GCAA regulations and airline maintenance procedures.
• Ability to allocate and utilise manpower efficiently to meet operational demands.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
• Leadership experience managing engineers and technicians.
