Silicon Photonic Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Silicon Photonic Engineer to join our fast‑growing team developing next‑generation optical interconnect solutions. The role combines technical leadership with product definition, working closely with customers, foundry partners and internal engineering groups to bring silicon‑based photonic engines from concept to validated production.

Key responsibilities

• Define and prioritize product requirements for high‑performance, manufacturable optical interconnects.
• Act as the primary technical liaison with customers, contract manufacturers and suppliers.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to align on design trade‑offs, milestones and deliverables.
• Perform link‑budget analysis, simulation and modeling to evaluate noise, distortion and system impairments.
• Support assembly flow development and oversee manufacturing considerations for packaged silicon photonics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in packaged silicon photonics and optical engine integration.
• Strong understanding of assembly processes and manufacturing for photonic devices.
• Excellent communication skills to translate customer needs into technical specifications.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional projects and drive continuous improvement.
