Site Mechanical Engineer – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Site Mechanical Engineer to join a leading chemical manufacturing company in Dubai. The role focuses on overseeing mechanical and maintenance activities on‑site, ensuring reliable operation of critical rotating equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance strategy for rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors and turbines.
• Plan, schedule and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
• Manage a team of technicians and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
• Utilise and optimise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders, asset tracking and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Provide technical support during shutdowns and major turnarounds.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience with rotating equipment, including at least 5 years in a senior or managerial position.
• Strong mechanical engineering background with a systems‑oriented approach.
• Proven experience using CMMS platforms.
• Currently residing in the United Arab Emirates and able to start on reasonable notice.
