Social Studies Teacher – Cycle 2 & 3 – Immediate Start

About the role

The school is seeking a passionate Social Studies teacher for Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 classes at Mubarak Bin Mohammed Charter School. You will deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress and contribute to a collaborative learning community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver curriculum‑aligned Social Studies lessons for mixed‑ability classes.
• Create a positive classroom environment with displays and resources that motivate learners.
• Assess student work using Target Tracker and provide timely feedback to parents.
• Manage behaviour in line with the school policy, promoting self‑control and independence.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and external specialists such as speech therapists.
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding student achievement and wellbeing.
• Participate in extra‑curricular activities, including running a weekly ECA.
• Contribute to curriculum action groups and school events outside regular teaching hours.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners.
• Demonstrated passion for educating the whole child and commitment to the school’s vision.
• Professional conduct with a clean enhanced DBS/police check.
• Ability to work flexibly with colleagues, parents and support staff.
• Active involvement in recent extra‑curricular activities.
