Software Engineer (AI Training)

About the role

We are looking for Software Engineers to help train AI systems that generate code. In this fully remote, flexible contract role you will write, debug and evaluate AI‑generated code across many languages, providing detailed feedback that makes AI coding assistants smarter and safer.

Key responsibilities

• Write, debug and optimise code in various languages and frameworks.
• Review AI‑generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability and best practices.
• Identify bugs, security issues and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured feedback explaining why code works or fails.
• Design challenging coding prompts and edge‑case scenarios to stress‑test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank multiple AI‑generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently on your own schedule.

Required profile

• Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, TypeScript).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms and software design principles.
• Excellent problem‑solving and systematic debugging skills.
• Clear written communication ability to explain technical decisions.
• Self‑motivated and reliable when working without supervision.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
