Software Engineer, Automated Trading

About the role

Cobblestone Energy is seeking a Software Engineer to join its automated trading team in Dubai. You will work closely with traders and infrastructure specialists to build and optimise high‑performance trading systems that drive the firm’s profitability in European gas, power and emissions markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise automated trading and supporting infrastructure components.
• Implement real‑time market data pipelines, order execution engines and risk‑management modules.
• Collaborate with traders to translate strategies into scalable software solutions.
• Maintain and enhance low‑latency order‑book and execution services.
• Participate in architectural discussions and ensure system reliability and performance.

Required profile

• BS/BE in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience building or contributing to trading systems.
• Strong analytical mindset, collaborative attitude and ability to lead technical discussions.
