Software Engineer – Trader Experience (AI‑Native)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to lead the Trader Experience Squad, shaping the end‑to‑end journey for traders on the FundedNext dashboard and mobile apps. You will drive technical direction, deliver high‑performance features, and embed AI‑native development practices across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the trader journey across web and mobile, reducing support tickets by fixing friction points.
• Lead mobile app development for iOS and Android, ensuring performance, reliability and feature parity with the web platform.
• Design and maintain scalable backend services using PHP/Laravel and high‑performance APIs with Next.js.
• Optimize database, caching and event‑driven workflows to support large‑scale trading activity.
• Guide sprint planning, code reviews and cross‑functional collaboration with Growth, Payment, Risk, Product and Design teams.
• Apply AI‑native tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Windsurf to accelerate coding, debugging and code review.

Required profile

• 6+ years of full‑stack software engineering experience, including leadership or squad‑management responsibilities.
• Proven track record building high‑traffic web or mobile fintech/trading platforms with a strong focus on UX and reliability.
• Experience with payment, checkout, onboarding/KYC flows and customer‑journey optimisation.
• Ability to lead sprint execution, mentor engineers and coordinate with multiple stakeholder teams.
• Background in fintech, prop‑trading or similar high‑scale digital products is highly preferred.
