About the role

As a Sommelier at Banyan Tree Dubai, you will craft exceptional beverage experiences for guests across the resort’s dining venues. Leveraging deep wine knowledge and storytelling, you will enhance each meal with tailored wine pairings and impeccable service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised wine recommendations based on guest preferences, menu selections and occasion.
• Guide guests through wine selections with confidence and engaging storytelling.
• Present, open and serve wines according to luxury hospitality standards.
• Ensure proper wine service techniques, including temperature control, decanting and appropriate glassware.
• Maintain wine inventory, cellar organization and accurate record‑keeping.
• Collaborate with chefs and service teams to create harmonious food‑wine pairings.
• Conduct wine tastings and training sessions for staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a sommelier in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• Extensive knowledge of global wine regions, varietals and vintages.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong guest‑service orientation.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑end hospitality setting.
• Passion for continuous learning and wine culture.
